It’s rare that I publish two articles in a week! But I’m sure by now you might have heard that Google+ is shutting down. This news for me is sad! Why?
Well, I have very fond memories of my time on Google+. It’s a place that I’m fortunate to get to know a lot of excellent professionals whom I’ve learnt a lot from these past few years. Awesome folks like:
- Garrett O’Brien (thanks, for your friendship)
- Cliff Roth (thanks, for my portrait)
- Denis Labelle (thanks, for teaching me how to use Google+)
- Walter Akana (thanks, for all your business tips on OMFG Group)

But as time went by and life happened, I was no longer regular on the platform. I chose to spend the bulk of my time on LinkedIn and Twitter instead.
I’m not going to go into bashing the platform or anything like that. But, I’m grateful for having been one of the first few to receive an invite!
Yes! Back then you had to get an invite before you could join the platform. So it was new and exciting to be one of the first!
